Desert Sands Unified School District
LQMS has a population of approximately 880 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. School is in session from 7:40-1:57 daily, except for Tuesdays when students are dismissed at 12:58. Students at LQMS have 7 standards-based classes that include language arts, math, science, humanities, PE, Spanish, art, elective and/or a supplementary math or language arts class, as needed.

Desert Sands Unified School District
Our school is unique in many ways. We are one of 7 middle schools in Desert Sands Unified School District with a population of about 540 students. This creates an environment which allows students to receive more personal and individual attention from teachers and staff. Last year our school placed 2nd highest in Riverside County in API points on the 2005 STAR tests. We made a gain of 43 points. Over the last 5 years we have shown a 156 point growth on our API scores.
