The Palm Springs Air Museum is a non-profit educational institution whose mission is to exhibit, educate and eternalize the role of the World War II combat aircraft and the role the pilots and American citizens had in achieving this great victory. Depression-era liquidator Jim Ruddy integrated his collection of store fixtures and merchandise with a museum. This re-creation comprises one of the country's largest complete displays of unused general store merchandise. Shelves are lined with vintage containers, 95 percent of which are filled with their original contents.

The Village Green Heritage Center, which stands in a lovely park-like setting amid the hotels, shops and restaurants of legendary Palm Canyon Drive, is comprised of two 19 century pioneer homes. Open Wednesday and Sunday: Noon to 3pm and Thursday through Saturday: 10am to 4pm. Open mid October through May.

Characterized by meandering walkways, majestic palm trees and brilliant flowers, the 5,000 square foot Eisenhower Walk of Honor memorial features an eternal wellspring, a bronze bust of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, and two seven-foot granite walls inscribed with over 500 Indian Wells residents who served in the armed forces and have been a resident of the City for a minimum of three years.

A 3,000-square-foot museum on the Cabazon reservation presents a historical perspective of the Cahuilla Indians, emphasizing the past 150 years. Artifacts are displayed. Open 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and noon-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
